I'm trying to decide between two ideas.  Don't worry... both novels will have the signature Corgi in it. :)
Poll #1631338 2010 NaNo

The first is a total rewrite and 2nd draft of last year's novel. It's an urban fantasy featuring a widow who finds out her husband was the guardian of a book written by fairies. Without knowing it, she took over the responsibility of guarding the book.

The second is an expansion of an unfinished story. It's an urban fantasy set in the future featuring a woman with telepathy who is part of the newly created branch of the police force featuring telepaths. She's haunted by not knowing who killed her own sister years ago with a little bit of romance thrown into the mix.

Well, I had to say no to one of them or it wouldn't be much help... The fairy book was the deal breaker. :)

Good to know the fairy book is a hook!

I like both so I am unhelpful as usual.

I like both ideas but I voted for the rewrite since the story appealed to me more. You won't go wrong with either choice, I think.

I had to go for the fairie book, as I personally think that characters haunted by not knowing who killed X friend or family member have become really overdone. Holds no interest for me. The fairy book does, though! Something about the story reminds me of my "sister's" art; she draws Amy Brown-style fairies extremely well. I can see her doing one of faeries writing or reading a book; she did one of them baking something with human-size implements that was lovely.
