My total pathetic word count on my NaNoWriMo project is 8820. I know that's more than some people get to write but I'm disappointed in myself. Good thing I can write this weekend!
I feel like I haven't been to a movie theater in six months (I know it hasn't been that long).
My in-laws in Ecuador are expecting a little brother or sister for ~C~.
Friends of ours had a wee little girl (just over a pound) born on October 1st while visiting daddy's parents. They get to drive home on Friday with baby and dog in a packed car. I'm so happy for them!
Last Sunday we had Thanksgiving/Hanukkah/Christmas at my parents house. It was fun to see all of the little kids open their presents. What was amazing to me was how they just ripped everything open as soon as it was handed to them. My earliest memory of opening up presents is in my parents Columbus house (about 7 or 8 years old) and we always sat in a circle and took turns. Even my in-laws do it this way. Is it a free-for-all before a certain age? Or are my great nieces and nephews allowed to go crazy like that at home? The enthusiasm was priceless. It was good to see I pick out good gifts for them. They are 7, 5 and 1.
Thanksgiving is the usual routine. We go to my husband's aunt's house. My parents go there every year. Grandpa C's chemotherapy makes it difficult for him to eat so I don't think he'll have plates of food like he usually does.
No snow on the ground though we've had a few cold days.
