Twelve Months Meme

Here is my end of the year meme for 2008. Below is the first sentence of each month excluding memes and quizzes. I'm only using public entries.

January: Happy New Year's everyone!
February: 2008 is the year I decided I would have a web presence.
March: Hmm.
April: It's 11pm and I realize a few things... Other than homemade french fries I've not had anything to eat the last five hours.
May: According to the poll, I should be writing a short story each day based on a writing prompt.
June: I saw Ironman on opening weekend and I missed the little bit about staying for the entire credits.
July: The first obedience class went well.
August: During the last two weeks I finished a book for a December book review, About Alice by Calvin Trillin, and Gimp by Mark Zupan and Tim Watson.
September: Saturday my husband carried Sammy into the basement.
October: We woke up at 5:30am to take hubby to the airport.
November: I almost hit 250 on my word count yesterday.
December: So I began writing at midnight and stopped around 1:30am.

10 Best Movies Seen in 2008

Hubby was nice enough to put together a list for me of the movies I've seen this year. He reconstructed it with the help of his own list and updates I'd posted in my LJ under the movies tag. There was only one movie I could think of that wasn't on the list. What a good job he did! *applause* As repayment I'm making a list of my 10 Best Movies Seen in 2008

Looking over the list it was difficult to choose the 10 movies I enjoyed the most. I saw about 125 movies, 72 shorts and 4 installations. For the list I did not include the shorts or installations. The most surprising thing is that most of the movies were released in the last few years. Maybe in a few months I'll regret one or two of these choices but tonight this is how the list stands. They are listed in the order I viewed them:

Under The Same Moon
Snow Angels
Iron Man
My Blueberry Nights
The Duchess of Langeais
After The Wedding
Hancock
Let The Right One In
Rachel Getting Married
Jean de Florette
