For instance, the snow and ice along the side of the roads is no longer white. On my way to work today, I took the back way. I felt it would be safe enough to make the trip without sliding down the hill in the wrong direction. Out of the corner of my eye, I could have sworn there was a brown bear looking at my car from the other side of the road. I'm sure it was just a big chunk of ice. Coming back from lunch at Steak and Shake, one of my co-workers commented on how he doesn't like the brown snow. On the way home from work, I saw a dead animal on the side of the road. I am sure it was probably a deer, but it looked so gray that it could have been a donkey. We don't have very many of those in the city, but we do have deer!
There are still about 25,000 homes without power as of this morning. 20 counties in Ohio have been declared disaster areas, including my county. I should call my mom and see if my brother has power yet or not.
My co-manager has been told he's going to be in Atlanta for the next three months. I think he leaves Sunday.
I keep getting compliments on my new 'do. Like I told my husband, I thought it would be good to have a new look for a new job. I've applied to several places this week. My confidence level is high... I know some places take forever to get back to people.
