We're doing the usual thing for Thanksgiving this year with family which usually involves no leftovers. I'm making a Thanksgiving dinner for the two of us on Monday.  I have the day off so I can write and as it turns out, I'll be able to cook too!  Now, I just need to decide between doing the traditional roast method or the Julia Child steam and roast method.  I'll probably do the traditional roasting because then I can write upstairs without worrying I'm going to set the kitchen on fire.

NaNoWriMo is going slowly for me this  year but it's still moving along. Today I hit 15003 as my total word count.  Tomorrow is a write-in at the Thurber House and next week includes a write-in at a writing retreat center.  I feel some 5K days coming on this year.

I also have a short story to tweak before sending in to a contest at the end of the month.
