I've been bidding on eBay for a new PDA (though my current model is one that I've stuck with since nearly 1997 or so the memory gets used up fairly quickly and I can't see my salon.com pages or add appointments to my calendar). I'm winning one right now but it doesn't close for another 2 days so someone could sweep in and win. What I was surprised to see was someone with an eBay rating of -2. The person is presently beating me on a bid. I had to look up bfateen to see what he/she did that was so horrible to get a negative rating.
At work I finished nearly all of the data cleanup for my monthly reports. I am so looking forward to August. We've been talking about a trip to Chicago. My husband has never been there. I was there once just after my junior year in college.
I told my boss today that I'd be late to work tomorrow and the next day and he was fine with it. He knows I usually work 40+ hours each week and specifically told me that I should put down 8 hours for the rest of the days this week.
My brother-in-law and his wife are having a baby. Literally. She began labor today. She had been dialated to 2 for the last few days but is at 4 now and having contractions. It would be nice to be there with them (they are still in Ecuador) but it's just not possible right now.
I've always dreamed of going to the Galapagos Islands which would be a day trip from where they live. I've also always wanted to go to Alaska and Africa. My husband knows I'd like to return to Sweden - shortly after our honeymoon we talked about how it would be nice to return there for our 10th anniversary.
Where did I spend my 10th wedding anniversary? At my husband's work. They were showing The Return and Pale Flower. They were both very good movies. The Return is a much more literary film.
Tonight we saw The Umbrellas of Cherbourg which was a repeat viewing. Afterwards was a reception with various pastries, green beans, cabbage, mussels, croissant sandwiches, cheese, some yogurty-liquid thing and drinks. I didn't try the yogurty-liquid thing but the rest was good. I didn't get to try the green beans because I couldn't find a serving thingie for it.
