Thursday TV

Thursday, August 26th

I stayed up too late watching TV. I got to see the Real World Philidelphia teaser show, The Amazing Race, and Big Brother 5. Do you see any pattern in my television programs? *grins*

It seems that all of the "good" shows get cancelled. I usually catch onto them after they've been given the boot. While I was dating my husband I learned about Twin Peaks, then there was The John Laroquette Show, The Paula Poundstone Show, American Gothic, Freaks and Geeks, and Undeclared. With the exception of Twin Peaks, I watched all of those shows while they were still on the air. I did grow disinterested in The John Laroquette show just before the second campaign to keep it on the air took place.

I've recently gotten into Buffy the Vampire Slayer and will soon be starting the series Angel and Firefly comes highly recommended. If you have a chance to check out Freaks and Geeks on DVD, do so! We watched the series (not all of the filmed episodes aired) and the deleted scenes recently. It was like seeing my old friends again.
