Writing Prompts for NaNoWriMo

Here are some writing prompts I did on the 11th.

The first one is 92 words. It was done in 5 minutes.
The second one is 103 words and done in 5 minutes.

Chocolate. How I dreamed of chocolate. The smell came unbidden when times were hardest for me.

As a child, my mother made me a cup of hot chocolate to make me feel better and soothe my aches and pains. My first job was in my uncle's candy shop. I delivered the custom made sweet confections to those who wanted something special for their fancy parties.

Being around chocolate so much has left me immune to the taste of it. It is the smell that brings me comfort when I need it most.

"Each person does this differently so don't be afraid to figure out what works best for you."

The woman help up a large, silver, clunky looking instrument at eye height so the others could see it well.

"This is the most common tool. It will need to be sharpened from time to time. You must have strong wrists to use it."

The instrument was replaced with a much smaller instrument. The handles were covered in red plastic and looked very much like an oddly shaped pair of pliers.

"This needs no sharpening and is easier on the wrists. This is my personal favorite."
